Seattle City Light and Northwest Sustainable Energy for Economic Development (Northwest SEED) said they have formed a partnership to offer discounts and streamline the process of installing clean energy systems.
They will support group purchases for solar in City Light’s service area as part of Solarize Washington, a community program that brings solar to homes and businesses. Solarize staff work with community groups and local installers to streamline the process.
Northwest SEED said it has completed three Solarize campaigns in the Seattle neighborhoods of Queen Anne, Magnolia and Northeast Seattle, and there is one for Stanwood and Camano Island. The county said in a press release the four campaigns have added 134 solar systems to the grid. Information is at www.solarizewa.org.
