Solarize Stanwood/Camano, a local community initiative to bring solar energy to homes and businesses in zip codes 98282 and 98292, today announced the selection of Whidbey Sun & Wind and Fire Mountain Solar as authorized installers for the initiative. A collaborative effort of Northwest SEED (Sustainable Energy for Economic Development), Snohomish County PUD and a team of local volunteer residents, Solarize Stanwood/Camano is a time-limited initiative designed to help people “go solar” through a streamlined process.
Whidbey Sun & Wind and Fire Mountain Solar submitted a joint proposal to work together to meet the solar installation requirements of the Solarize project and were selected by the local volunteer committee as a result of a competitive process.
